At Clínica Ilzarbe we have completed the process of vaccinating the entire team against COVID-19. At the end of January 2021, the ICOEV (College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Valencia), started the process to prioritize the vaccination of the high-risk professional groups, in which we are:
- Dentists.
- Hygienists.
- Dental assistants.
COVID-19 vaccine for dental professionals
The Consellería de Sanitat Universal i Salut Pública, informed that the vaccination for dental professionals and all the team that forms it, would begin mainly during the month of March. However, as our profession is considered a high-risk group, it was brought forward to February 15. Mainly we had been included in vaccination group 3, but this was rectified, since this profession is high risk due to its activity in the patient’s mouth, just a few centimeters away, generating aerosols and spending more than 15 minutes with a patient without a mask inside the dental office. We remind you that since the beginning of the pandemic, dental clinics have adapted all the protection and safety protocols to the current circumstances, and now with the complete vaccination of our dental team, we reinforce the safety in our clinic. The vaccinations have been carried out through the work mutual insurance companies.
